Let me tell you a little about me:
I want to start a non-profit for many reasons; one, in particular, is to offer a personal approach of counseling, support, and guidance I once needed. Nonetheless, I wanted to do this right, with the proper education that complemented my experience. However, getting there was not easy. Especially when coming from a place of disparity, dealing with narcissistic parents that self-medicated to cope with their abuse and trauma, turning into a mental illness due to the lack of counseling and the proper treatment.
After experiencing several hard-knock challenges, only one hit me the most, ending up dealing with severe depression after losing everything I had after working so hard to achieve. I was so devastated that I lost my purpose in life and the will to go on.
Before all that, I had always been a happy-go-lucky kind of guy, an extrovert who was always thinking of ways to help my friends and community. I was in a part-time firefighting Academy and a lifeguard while working hard towards getting back to school to obtain a criminal justice degree. Suddenly, my life changed, and my dreams of making a difference were delayed caused of injustice, leading me to rethink my life's choices, but due to lack of guidance, it took me longer than I had ever anticipated.
Now I have a new purpose since I understand how prejudiced types of challenges would be emotionally draining. For many people, it could get worse by getting into a deep depression, feeling very conflicted internally, I know. So, my advice is, do not do it alone. At this point in my life, it is fair to say that I am very familiar with all the pain and suffering, uncertainty can cause. Especially when not knowing if you will pull through.
Anyone experiencing such an ordeal should not do it alone because it is highly detrimental to you, especially to those who love you and care, like your family and friends. Let me help you overcome those challenges, and together we will pull through. There is hope.

Experience & Education
2017-2019
Master Of Social Work
Grade: 3.8
Phi Alpha Honor Society
Rutgers University
Even though I experienced a few awful professors, I did enjoy the intense Social Work program. Especially the internships allowed me to grow more as I got exposure to different fields. It allowed me to gain different perspectives and a more profound understanding of what is needed in the field that you cannot ever get through books but through hands-on. Regardless of not getting a 4.0, I worked hard on my degree, and because I enjoyed it, I was rewarded with an honor award for excellence in professionalism and academic standards.
2016-2017
Pre-Law Studies
Grade: 4.0
NJIT
I firmly believe that certain things happen for a reason. I met this wonderful Person who believed in me and encouraged me to give my experience a chance. Together with the right academic tools, I could make a difference. So, she sponsored me for the first year before transferring to Rutgers. I took a few classes in Pre-Law since that is ultimately what I want to do and become an attorney to continue helping individuals in search of hop and justice. I would also like to sponsor someone achieve their academic dreams as I did.
